This project uses the Google Search API to display the definition of different words to a web page. The Rest API returns a JSON response where the definition can be parsed from the rest of the response. The web page uses AJAX to display the definitions without needing to fresh the page.

Web Security Testing

DVWA is an intentionally vulnerable website used to learn about various security vulnerabilities. DVWA is placed on a Virtual Machine and attacked using Kali Linux. The scanner OWASP ZAP and Burp Proxy are used to discover the vulnerabilities. The vulnerabilities demonstrated are file upload, code execution, SQL injection, XSS, and insecure session management.

The test management tool will be a DevOps project and will have unit tests, API tests, and UI tests. The application will pass a security test using a vulnerability scanner.
